Paruna Caravan park –

About 50 min from the SA Victoria border is Paruna. The Caravan Park is more a bush camp/ rest area then an actual Caravan Park. But hey you can park your caravan 🙂

There are about 4 power points, a toilet, shower and a tank you can get some water from once you have paid, there’s also a small fire pit by the seating area.

The Paruna pub and store are now well and truly closed. This is by all we could see a ghost town 🙁 (Update 12th May 2021 – Brownswell Tavern and Paruna General Store is now open)

The sign says to pay your $10 after 5 pm at a house down the street, which we did. It was a little odd going to someone’s home to pay but it gave us the chance to check out the old pub and shop fronts. The friendly lady took our $10 and asked if we would like to borrow the shower key which was $3, we declined.

This was just a one night stop on our way to Overland Corner. For $10 you can plug-in to power and get a little water.
