Boort Showground is located in walking distaice from the small town. You will find some basic shops like an IGA Liquor, Home Hardware and a nice cafe.
Boort Showground Camping
Driving in, you will find camping is to the left by a shed structure. We did pass this and drove to the back of the huge showground. After not seeing any signs showing where to camp we headed back to the start. Photos on Wikcamps showed vans parked in front of the shed so we parked here.
You can plug in to power here and one water tap is available to fill your tank. If you do decide to plug in to power it is a $10 donation per night. Another couple had already plugged in to the power before we did. I think they had someone come and turn the main power on. As some people aren’t so honest I guess this is a good idea.
Amenities Etc.
Boort Showground has toilets which are available 24/7, they are opposite the dump point. A small playground is opposite where you park and a basketball court is at the showground. I have read there is a shower but I didn’t go looking for it so can’t comment on it.
Boort Showground is a basic looking 72 hour camp for self-containd vans. In saying that it has everything you need. I think $10 for power and to fill your tank with water this is a great find. Pop your donation in the box to support these great camp sites.

Thank you guys. But I am hoping the ink in my diary isn’t fading as my wife is scared to leave home because of my old dirt damaged lungs from Viet war era. But I’m still surviving and still here.
But we still thank you for blogging your travels, so stay safe, stay healthy, and most important, stay happy. Cheers
