Kidmans Camp is an oasis if you’re travelling through outback NSW. It’s located 10 minutes from Burke and 1hr 20 minutes to the NSW/QLD border. Before lock down and border closures, this was our last camp before heading over the border and back to Queensland.
Kidmans Camp
You have lots of places to park here whether you’re a large rig, small rig, tent, or want power or water. We chose a drive through powered site as we were only staying one night and our fridge was still playing up.
Sites are large and grassy, with plenty of shade from trees to sit under as we didn’t put out our awning.
Kidmans Camp Resort Pool
This resort style camp has a two pools set in tropical surroundings with palm trees and flowering plants. Both of the pools have three different shaded seating areas to relax in. The large one has beautiful wooden beams and walls. This has a sink and a fridge to keep your food and drinks cool while you cool off in the pool.
Another looks like an alfresco dining area surrounded by vines, while the other is a cabana to chill out under. A couple of loungers are around the pool if you fancy reclining a bit more.
Camp Kitchen & Amenities
Kidmans Camp has a large clean camp kitchen and BBQ area. In the kitchen you will find all the usual’s plus a drinks machine. The laundry has plenty of washers and ironing facility’s if needed. They also have a dump point on site if you don’t want to use the large amenities block with showers and toilets.
This caravan park is worth checking out, especially in the summer 😀
