Euabalong Camp – Caravan Park – NSW

FavoriteLoadingAdd to favorites

Euabalong is around 20 minutes north of Lake Cargelligo After Larry finished harvesting in Barellan we headed north to Queensland. The border was open, Christmas was near, and I wanted to see my Mum (Sue’s) for Christmas.

Mum had driven to see me for my 50th birthday back in July. Unfortunately the QLD/NSW border was going to close a few hours after she would arrive. Subsequently, she drove back home and we didn’t get to catch up.

Thankfully, after we got through the border’s red tape we got to spend Christmas with Mum for the first time in years.

OK, on to the camps we stopped along the way back to Queensland..

Euabalong Caravan Park

Euabalong has two places to camp, they are directly opposite each other. We stayed at the small caravan park. Actually, It’s not quite a caravan park and not quite a showground. A row of about 5 or so vans would fit on the powered sites.

You can also find a place to pull up on an un-powered sites around the park. On the other hand opposite this is the free camp. For those that might have batteries, solar, inverters etc the free camp might be a great option.

Low Cost Camp

You’ll also find the honesty box at the amenities. Pop in your $15 a night (for power and water) Or $65 for the week, Amazing!! Parking is on lovely grass that is mowed regularly.

Euabalong amenities

A small block with ladies and gents toilets and showers are available. Bins are also in this area.

Have a stroll

In the campground itself is a lovely little old church with a couple of old graves dating back to the 1800s. In fact it was quite picturesque.

Between the church and the powered sites is a play area for the little ones. As well as a zip wire and other bits for kids to play on.

Lastly, have a two minute stroll to the Euabalong pub. The Royal Hotel is open 2pm till late, 12pm on a weekend. check out the menu as they have pizza every night and meals on various other days.

Euabalong Free Camp

Opposite the Cheap camp is the free camp. When we arrived this camp was flooded. However you could still see how nice it would be. There is picnic seating among the trees and a large grass area by the water.

A sign by the camp says toilets and points to the paid camp we were at. So, I can only assume you can use the toilets at the paid camp. It is council run so it makes sense.
