After a few overcast days at our donation camp in Haddon we were low on power. For ease of topping up the batteries and I guess for a treat we booked in to Avoca Caravan Park

We chose Avoca as the reviews were good and they were right. This is a smaller, tidy park with friendly managers. Small things make this park, like painted picnic tables with little lights and fruit left on the table in the kitchen for people to help themselves.

Most of all, for us, it has a underlying nice feel about it. One we can’t put our finger on but it just feel like a nice place.

This park has some semi-permanents. One couple come here from Melbourne for long breaks as they like it so much. From most sites you can see the back of the golf course and there is a gate you can go through to get to it. Apparently you can walk to the club house from here.

Camp Facilities

The camp kitchen has everything you need, from the cooker to the TV, lounges and fire. It’s surrounded by colourful picnic tables and a BBQ area.

Across from the camp kitchen are beautiful toilets, showers and laundry. These look brand new and are spotless. The laundry not only has the usual washers and dryers but Avoca Caravan Park also has an iron and board as well as a vacuum. Again, we don’t stay in parks often but I’ve never seen that!

Have A Walk

Avoca Caravan Park is a 10 minute stroll into the friendly town. We headed to the IGA a couple of times once to get Larry some Bourbon as they sell alcohol and it was a good price. The hardware store next door was also visited for some bits and pieces. Of course a bakery and one of the cafe’s had to be visited also.

Avoca Caravan Park is not one of those big parks with jumping pillows, although it dose have a lovely playground. It is a quiet, friendly, tidy park in a nice town with a great feel about it.
