Duaringa Hotel – QLD – from $5

The Duaringa Hotel

The back of the Hotel has a large grassy area at the back of the pub, some with slabs a couple with power and water.

You can park for $5 and use the toilets, showers and washing machine. The facility’s were not that clean when we were there but if your staying for free or at minimal cost you can’t complain.

We went to the pub for dinner and a beer. They had the usual locals sitting around the bar, who all looked around when the two traveling strangers walk in ( nothing awkward there then)

When I ordered bangers and mash ($16) at the bar a little later the locals were friendly, chatty and helpful.

The food was warm and the beer was cold. A basic place, But for the price is fantastic.

There is also a free camp spot closer to the motorway , we didn’t stay there so can’t really comment too much but based on wikiCamps reviews there’s also bats close by when staying there that crap all over the place so bare that in mind if your deciding on the free camp rather than the back of the pub.
